Wildfire in Arizona: Mandatory evacuations for more than 2000 people
Wildfires broke out in Arizona last Sunday have surpassed 19,000 acres in recent days. As of today containment stays at 0%, and the so-called Tunnel Fire moving at a high speed, propelled by winds.
On Tuesday the local Sheriff's Office began emergency operations, announcing mandatory evacuations for 4,000 people. More than 1,000 animals had been successfully evacuated. According to recent statements wildfire destroyed at least 24 structures.
The cause of the Tunnel Fire is still unknown, but the region has been suffering from drought for more than two decades due to rise of the average temperature by 1.4 degrees Fahrenheit.
